Con philosophy is more like radical Islamic fundamentalism than you realize. They are two sides of the same coin:
They both share the same attitude regarding women. They believe women should be subservient to men. Accomplished women are threatening to them. They work to prevent equality between the sexes. Women shouldn't be allowed to wield power, whether it's driving a car or piloting an F-18.
Both are hard-liners on crime and punishment. Arabs cut off hands and behead people. It's not that extreme with conservatives, but they also believe in harsh punishment in the name of justice and to send a warning to future wrong-doers. Conservatives believe in the death penalty, long prison sentences, and they support torture.
Both are isolationists. They are suspicious of people of different nationalities, ethnicities, and religion. They exhibit xenophobia. They use religion as a means of distinguishing self from non-self, friend from enemy. Foreigners are always suspect.

They are traditionalists. They cherish what already exists and are wary of new ideas. There may be inefficiencies and injustices with the current system, but they don't want to rock the boat. New ideas are blasphemy. Progressives are looked down upon.
They want religion to be the heart of government. They don't want a separation of church and state. Laws should be based on religious teachings. Religious leaders should be in charge of the country.
Look in the mirror cons. Today's Islamic fundamentalist is really yesterday's conservative.

Where is your question, what are your sources? From what I have read almost everything you state about both the LDS chruch and the religon of islam are flat out wrong or quoted out of context. do the world a favor and get your fact right befor you spout off crap like this or at least do it in a forum that everyone know is oppinion without basis such as a blog that has been previously suggested. But from what you state here I see this question as nothing other than hate mongering against that which you do not understand.
How does Harry Reid fit into your point of view then?

Show me the verse in the Bible where it says having 72 virgins is a good thing? Why do you have to make up lies and distortions to get your point across. It instantly discredits anything else you might have to say.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Bin Laden and the Iranian president mouthing liberal talking points? Was it not the liberals who invited the Iranian president to speak at their college? Was it not the liberals who stood up and cheered throughout his speech at Columbia U? Please tell me where i'm mistaken.

the Mormon religion is about as far from radical Islam as you can get and still be on the same planet. 19 Mormons didn't hijack the airliners on 9-11.

this is an engaging opinion. besides the shown fact that, i think that interior the absence of a Deity guy (or females) has to have faith in something. a smart guy as quickly as pronounced "If there have been no God, it would be necessary for guy to create one". i think that the severe left is basically a contemplated image of religion. maximum of their passionate reasons are against faith and arguments are an identical purely contemplated.

you think muslims took over that plane on 9/11? i thought it was paid arabs. they are doing it for pride! both sides are same religion, but they fight, because they believe in different things. just like catholic republicans and democrats. i also thought it was the islams..not sure who really started this war, or why. i mean i know why, but its not rational.

Try looking into that mirror yourself. LOL
I have been around Conservatives my entire life and have never seen anything like the stuff you spout. And yes, I deal with my share of rednecks who feel intimidated by strong women. But in spite of the Liberal rhetoric, rednecks come in both party flavors.
At least they did. Keep trashing on them and we'll get them all over on our side.
