I can. It's a part of life. Yes, I grieve when a loved one passes, but I do move on and look forward to when pain turns to cherished memories. It eventually does if you let it.
As for my own mortality, that is something a little different. I want to do so many things I haven't done yet. I was born with a congenital condition with a prognosis that I wouldn't live to be 21. Try growing up with that kind of "death sentence" over your head! So, I learned all I could about my disorder. It is not visible and only episodically debilitating. I accepted Christ as my savior at the age of nine, so I don't fear death. I've lived twice the time they said I would and I've had a good life, but I have always, always, felt it will never be long enough. I have analyzed every experience; tried to keep every memory. It has been torture always feeling time might be up before I'm ready to go. I guess I'll feel this way until the day I do die. Life is good, but it's kind of like eating a pie that is tasty, but just not quite sweet enough.

I used to experience the form you do. while i grew to become into youthful (pre-40's) i presumed death grew to become into the worst nightmare ever. Now, regardless of the undeniable fact that, I see it as a blessing. There are a pair of books that helped me: "adventure of Souls," and "destiny of Souls," the two by making use of Michael Newton, Ph.D. those are 2 of the main down-to-earth and reassuring books i've got ever study. additionally, the books approximately Edgar Cayce are very effectual. i think of i grew to become into terrified of death by way of fact i presumed there wasn't going to be something after this life. Now i be attentive to in a diverse way, no longer in a non secular experience, yet in a non secular experience. there's a huge distinction. so which you're on a superb seek - good success, and revel interior the holiday!

Fear of the unknown. No one can say for sure what there is after death, so we fear leaving what we have, leaving those we love.

if there is fear im sure you dont know what hit you when you die. sometimes you just dont know what hit you, pass out, its over. But if you know youre going to die its harder. You have to come to peace with it. I have no idea how people do that.
People are fearful of anything new that they have not yet experienced.
