I was really impressed with the pressure that Rutgers got on Groethe in the second half.

That...and Ray Rice is a very hard runner.

Ray Rice is no big surprise. He was, and still is, a stud tailback. He put up big numbers on USF last year and it's no big shock that he nearly put up 200 on them this year.

Other than to those bandwagon ESPN analysts, the loss to Rutgers comes as no surprise. Rutgers played them tough last year and I knew it would be close. Rutgers played with a chip on its shoulder and I was expecting them to come out and play hard since most people have their performance last year as an aberration. They wanted to prove their worth as a legitimate Big East contender.

I don't think Jazz necessarily played their best, considering their free-throws and turnovers. But, the Lakers were overall poor on both the defensive and offensive side and were a bit sluggish to start anyway. Bynum's fouls definitely effected the Lakers' outcome, and even though Kobe had a bad shooting game, he could have been a better facilitator. The bench was the big difference since the Jazz outscored the Lakers, however, Odom did well and Phil could've used him a little more. Kirilenko's defense on Trevor was a big factor which slowed him down scoring-wise. Anyways, this was just one game that was bad from the start for the Lakers and hopefully they'll bounce back.

Special teams breakdown by rutgers but ironically that same special team ended up with key plays to win the game..

Muffing two punts, a kickoff, blocked field goal...
USF had too many chances and they just couldn't capitlize

Rutgers on the other hand fought hard all night and never gave up..

Fake Punt, Fake Field Goal (PLAY OF THE GAME) and Ito's 51 yard field goal that ended up winning it..

retribution right there

and before anyone else says this..
the refs did not blow the game...
The calls were close and I agree with the ones made

USF was ranked 2, therefore they should be able to overcome the "blown calls" by the refs and still win

And like i said on another question...

USF was overrated... note the *was*...now they are just rated

Ray Rice is a monster...Did he get the ball like 30 times? It was a good football game with I think 2 evenly matched teams. As a Tiger fan, I was hoping Rutgers would pull the upset...Thank You.

USF was not able to keep ray rice under control. Whenever you let one guy run for over 160 yards, then you probably are going to lose. The other thing is that Matt Grothe was under too much pressure. He's still an amazing QB though

My thoughts are that Rutgers should have won by a lot more!

Nothing against USF, but I was just never a believer and now I feel a bit vindicated.

Good call. This is one crazy football season! I have no idea who will finish the season on top, but I still think LSU has the most talent on both sides of the ball. If they survive their brutal schedule with only one loss, then they should get a chance at the national championship game.

Wow, all week I kept telling people that South Florida going undefeated was a moot point, as they weren't going to escape Piscataway.

Well, South Florida, see that bench over there labeled "Pretenders"? Tell Boise State to move down a little and you can take a seat. Keep some room available, because Kansas will be joining you soon...

I was happy to finally see them spy one of their linebackers... it took them long enough, a whole half of football. I hate to say I'm happy Rutgers won, because I was hoping for a Cinderella story... but I'm still hopeful for the Gators.
