I don't like him. He has this look about him. He looks cocky and arrogant. And right before he throws a pitch he has this half smirk on his face like he's doing something sneaky.

I think his attitude is what makes him a great starting pitcher. You can't let anything bother you and that's what he's all about. I like him a lot and he's pitching phenomenally right now.

If I were a Yankee fan, I would hate him too. I am not, thank Heaven, and I am glad to say that I got to see him pitch in person this year and he is just great. The guy can hit too if you saw him in interleague play. Very competitive. Great attitude if you're a Red Sox fan.

He has an attitude. That is why he is a great pitcher. You have to be that way in baseball. Or you get no where. GO RED SOX!!!!

Dick M - wow you have a great grasp of the English language.
Grow up.
Beckett's the best pitcher in the game, and one of the best post season starters in recent memory (John Smoltz arguably being the best.)

No...Beckett is as cool as a pitcher there is in baseball...and maybe you will understand after he wins the Cy Young...I think you don't like him because you obviously like the Yankees...

Fantastic pitcher (saying that as a Tribe fan!) but what he said to Kenny made me totally lose respect for the guy. And I don't see why people as gorgeous as Alyssa Milano and Danielle Peck went out with him. Ew.

I go tto meet him back whenhe was a rookie with the Marlins, he was actually really cool, he came out to the parking lot with some of his friends after a game, and took the time to chat with a lot of young fans, he was only 19 but seemed to handle the big $$$ well. now he mayhave changed, but 1st impression last..he is a good guy

ever since today
not really
he's a great pitcher. definitely cy young worthy
i think there's a difference between his ability and his attitude
he has some anger issues.. but i guess that fits into the whole passionate thing which is always good
like if he gets really angry and starts blowing off people i.e. today with kenny lofton that's when it gets sorta annoying
but i think that only happened once though ^^
that could have been totally avoidable!
so i agree with you

no i dont like him... i freakin' love him.
big game pitcher, little game pitcher everything he is just a good ole' country hard baller. gotta love those Texas pitchers
also if you look at the tape, when he yells at Lofton, he yells "up!" and he stares at lofton so he could try and set him off. clearly, it worked
