I used to be an overachiver: good grades, good conduct, perfect student, right?

Every year i look forward to school starting.
Well, this year was the first year that i was dreading going back to school because something didn't feel right about this year..
now i am failing 2 classes where one seems impossible to pass (algebra) because ever since kindergarden, mathematics have been the most frustrating thing in life. So now i have until december to pull those grades up, or else..

Get a tutor... you still have time to change things. Focus on your studies. Talk to people. Ask some of the questions on this site. People will help you. But make sure you still get sleep, exercise , and eat well because it will help clear your mind for learning.

And for your information the last time I got something from Taco Bell I got the wrong change back. I think since you are studying algebra you are far ahead of a future at Taco Bell.

Three things:

1. There is no such thing as "or else" when it comes to school. If you fail, you may be delayed, but you can always take a class over again. Never give up.

2. You didn't go from overachiever to underachiever overnight. What changed? Are you depressed? Are you having problems concentrating? Are you going through a rough time? It's time to do something about it. Go talk to a counselor at your school or your teacher right away! They can help.

3. Talk to your teacher and get yourself a math tudor!!!!! It's silly to sit around wondering what went wrong. Whenever you have a problem, it is time to figure out what it is and get help. That's how life works.

Good luck!

I hated algebra also. It took me three years to get through geometry too. However, if you are looking for a job, check out either cruise lines or private yachts. The people who hire help for those yachts usually pay up to 30% higher wages than what you would get in a normal job. And if you speak a foreign language like French, Greek or Italian you can make even more money as an interpreter on a yacht. Good luck. Whatever you choose.
