im a wood element and my friend is a metal element and he is my best friend. how are we such good friends senes metal splits wood?

We often choose harmful friends and believe they are the best!!
On the other hand, it is the man behind the metal that makes the metal split the wood. The metal can be made to cover the wood to protect it as well.

I'm ganna go out on a limb here and assume that you are talking about the 5 Chinese elements. In this case, the Chinese elements are not objects, they are processes.
metal creates watter, which creates wood, which creates fire, which creates earth, which creates metal.
Change creates flow which creates growth which creates radiance which creates sedentaryness, which creates change.
His change centric perspective probably does clash with your growth oriented perspective, but hat doesn't mean you don't get along.

it might be Philosophy but I am not sure. May I say that wood and metal are both part of earth, maybe that is why you can be best friends.

I hate to be a bitter Suzy, yet this is a very dumb question. it really is more suitable ideal? They both suck, a minimum of in a present day context.
