Americans love women. We certainly aren't afraid of a woman President. Hillary is a different story and would be a nightmare for the whole country. I find it laughable to favorable compare the policies of Islamic countries the degrade and devalue women to an extreme degree........

Some Americans might hate women but in reality, those that ‘hate’ women are threatened by them and want them to be subservient to them so they are really afraid of women. How exactly would that make them hypocrites, to be a hypocrite they’d have to claim to love women while hating them. Yes, women can and are objectified by many men and women as well because it makes money and gets the attention of young and old men. Girls are led to believe that their worth is based on their looks by who, other women, specifically their moms. Who does all that makeup, and hair the ‘girly’ stuff, the father no my dear it is the mother or the girl’s friends who are girls, older sisters of their friends, or their friends’ moms. Britney spears is a product of her mother not ‘Americans’ she was crafted and marketed as she was to appeal to young men since they won’t listen to her music as well as young girls who having been brainwashed by their moms and the media need her to look a certain way for her to be ‘cool’. Character and personality really don’t come across in video clips or posters and ad spots so that is why those women who excel in those traits are not known for them. You are right some Americans are afraid to have a woman president, many might just be afraid to have Hillary as our President I know I am, it has nothing to do with her being a woman though I’m sure you won’t believe me. Some Muslim countries still make their women cover their bodies from head to toe and won’t let a woman go out on her own without a man accompanying her. What’s wrong with this picture, well you have latent anger and are misdirecting it at all Americans when it should be reflected back at other women who perpetuate the idea that women need to look a certain way to be worth anything. You also seem confused as to the way America works, which is why you don’t understand the real reasons behind the way things are. Using an example of a Muslim female prime minister when there are many more Muslim countries that treat women like property is another thing ‘wrong with this picture’.

So silly I would rather be objectified (new buzz) in a mini skirt then a Birka! I would rather sound off in a political rally or march on a cause of my particular interest then sit in a black tent over the head getup unable to make any suggestions as to the running of my home, let alone the country! Without being beaten! And in case you haven't notice the Muslims just tried to blow Bhutto's booty off with a bomb! where were you? Americans will vote for the person not the gender! We are literate not like the poor Muslim majority!

You are under a false pretext that Americans hate women. Just because America has not elected a female president does not mean that they are hypocrites.

There are many sucessfull women in the corporate world who get a lot of respect both from men and other women.

I think that you make a pretty good point. Why is it that there are Women who become leaders of Muslim Countries, yet America has a huge problem with it. Why is it that American girls have a tendancy towards starving themselves thin? I think we have been hoodwinked into thinking that what we do is in the best interests of Women. Just like the Womens liberation movement being supported by Big Business. Yaaay now Women are free to work all day long and let the Public Schools and TV raise their kids. How wonderful.

Why of course. Only a fool could look at the way women are treated in the USA and not think they are the most despised vermin on earth. I can't believe I'm even acknowledging a question concerned with such lowly beasts of burden. Also...what are you smoking and could you send me some?

Eastern hatchling alert!

I don't know where you've been hangin lately, but most American women are to darn fat to look hot in bikinis.

If muslim women can manage to get educated, not be stoned to death on some males whim and avoid having their genitalia removed by hot prod, I suppose they have a remote chance of
individual success. Let's not get into the statistical probability.

Poor you. Women use their sexuality as an advantage, and because they use it as a pro, people attempting to scrutinize their tactics are within their rights to use it as a con. By the way, the femenist message is over an done with.
