How much are guitars at pawn shops?

I need a acoustic one for lessons and i say about 20-40 dollars guitar and do you know where i can get cheap

Look at a new one and subtract 1/3 off the price. That's what a similar guitar will cost at a pawn shop.

You don't want to buy a cheap guitar. Cheap guitars are poorly designed. That makes it hard to hold down the strings and hard to get your fingers into the correct position. It will make it really hard to learn on. A good guitar is much easier to learn on. Ask your instructor which one is a good starter instrument.

You might luck out. It depends on what they have in stock. I guarantee they are a lot cheaper than what they have at the Gibson store! They have some that can go up into the thousands of dollars.

If you do choose the Pawn shop, take a really experienced friend(in guitars) so you don't accidentally buy a piece of crap that sounds horrible.

Try ebay or craigslist for used musical instruments in your area. I've had good luck with both. Plan on spending about $100 for a decent sounding used acoustic guitar.

i don't know if u can get one that cheap, but pawn shops r definitely a good place, although they will try and sell you crap, so know what ur buying.
o ya, and it can be a pain if the guy who pawned it wants it back, so watch out 4 that too.
