when love changes to pity, it is no longer love. it's rather sympathy put into a mere mirror of "love." When and if i see that happen, since it's no longer love, i would leave it

Love and pity are two different emotional responses. If you now clearly pit someone you thought you loved then I would suggest that perhaps the love was never there except to mask pity. Do you think its a good idea to build a relationship on pity?

Love is many things: it is the question it is sympathy, empathy. How do I react supposing I'm being pitied, heck that word actually exists, I would feel shame, or anger depending on the reason.

A few years after you get married...less for some! Get a divorce and somebody who care about you, or just try to remember why there was love in the first place, it might sparkle that flame of love that started it all, if that doesn't work..."f" him is not worth lossing time and go back to fishing in this great sea!
