That is how I met my husband in July 2007 and we married in August 2007. He was even from England and I am from the USA. We met here on P&S after months of correspondence. :o) After corresponding online, then in writing and exchanging photos, and talking on the phone, he flew from England to meet my family and me in July. (He had never been to America before.) :o)

No, I haven't I like it better this way.
I get to talk to people,
like a huge party line,
I don't have to get up & get dressed.
Even on days, when I do not feel well,
I still can come out here,
answer a few questions & go back to bed.
I have been the victim of a stalker once
or twice & I like being an unknown,
except for he avatar.
In the 70s& 80s when the CB radio
was all the rage, I went out & met
all the crazies that were out there.
No thanks, I like it much better this way
and it is much safer.
Now, I have mailed packages of odds
& ends to folks around the world,
because we have things
in the good of USA,
that is very familar to us,
but someone from "Down Under"
has never heard of a particular candy.
Or a lady in England once sent me
knitting directions for a shawl
using circular needles and
the directions were defined than the
class I had here at Michael's
in a one on one demo.

Yes many
Funny thing was back in 99, while living in Pembroke Pines, FL, I got online for the 1st time ever. I bought one of those WEBtv deals. I had no idea what to do so my roomate showed me where the chat rooms were. I got in a chat room, and started to talk with this girl, Kat(erine). About 20 minutes later I was talking to her on the phone and within an hour total was at a bar with her. She was quite attrative, and actually would become a moderately paid model. I would see her for about 3-4 months, only losing touch with her because my career took me from Miami to NC, and hers took her to Phoenix. always wondered what happened to her.
My roommate was pissed because he had been online for awhile already and never met anyone, and here I was hooke dup with a model in 1 hour.
since I have met about 10 girls from chatrooms, use to travel a lot and always find a girl to hang where ever I was going to be.
and I have done the online dating site thing quite a bit and probably met another 50-60 girls. Hvae been lucky enough to get into 4 relationships longer than 6 months, the longest being about 18 months. I have also had a few terrible experiences including 1 girl who stalked me for about 6 months

Nope, I would if we taked on the phone first and webcam and met in a public place. I'm pretty sure I'd never get involved with someone who was really shady, I believe I can read people pretty well, so that probably wouldn't be a problem to begin with.

Yeah, i actually just went out with this great photographer i met through Myspace yesterday. I know it's a bad idea, but i have learned through experience to meet in areas surrounded by people. I work at a mall and i decided it was harmless if he wanted to drop some postcards off and to meet me. We had coffee and talked about our dogs!
I really enjoyed it! :)

Yes. ^-^
And we turned out to be best friends for a while.
But online relationships are too hard to keep. She had to go back to North Carolina right after we met, and a few weeks later we got into a big fight online.
But meeting her is not something I regret. It's one of those memories that make you smile.

Yeah, it was pretty interesting and quite an experience. I've met guys as well as girls (not a lesbian) It's not very safe, though. So if you're thinking about doing it make sure you have friends join you and you tell people where you are. Also, meet in a very public place!

I have! I've met some really wonderful people and a few whackos. I'm always a little sceptical. I guess I'm just cautious! I have met a few recently on Y/A that I would really love to meet and see where it goes. There are some really great people here

I meant 2 women from being online. One I flew out to Kansas to meet. The other was more local. Valley Forge. She was my last wife. I have talked to a few other people and we have said we like to meet each other someday but it has never gotten past that point.
