Frank Lucas was released from prison in 1983 with his sentened reduced to "time served" after serving 9 years of a 70 yr sentence. This I know. What I want to know is if he is still alive in this year 2007?

This is October26, 2015 and I want to know if Frank Lucas is still living and where? Denzel did a wonderful job of portraying him in The American Gangster movie.

In 1976, Lucas was convicted of both federal and New Jersey state drug violations, and sentenced to 70 years in prison. The next year he began giving evidence that led to the prosecution of numerous government law enforcement agents and eventually led to the convictions of more than 100 other drug criminals, and in 1981 he was released from jail for his cooperation. Two years later he was arrested once again and charged with conspiring to distribute heroin. In 1984 he was found guilty of the new charge and sentenced to seven years in prison
