yeah, joe did get a bum deal, i thought george would have
done better by him. but he is 67 years old, i think he
should retire altogether. hopefully mo and all the guys will
still stay. i'd like to see mattingly take over now.

I'm shocked that he turned down the contract offer! but on the other hand, would you really wanna manage for an owner that said you would be fired if you didn't win? I can see why he didn't accept the offer but it just sucks cause he was a huge part of the Yankees team! I'm gonna miss him and no would will ever manage the Yankees like he did! :(

I don't care about the Yankees in any way shape or form, and the owners and management is a huge reason why.

I thought it was quite fair. It has been well proven that money can not buy you championships, and the difference between players are negliZible. So, it is better to keep you r money with you
