They must have had stairs. Even if only to go up a hill or incline. The Romans clearly must have had stairs, because something like the Coliseum would have required them. I bet the Greeks had them too.

The ancient Greeks did not have toothbrushes; they could use rinsing of the teeth, small twigs, a cloth or and a finger in their place.

They did not use horns for music; they had flutes, a lyre, percussion.

They had staits but used ramps also. See a good representation of an ancient Greek theater and a house in a picture book for younger readers in the library; they had both ways of getting up and down, as well as ladders.

A great way to brush your teeth if your out in the woods, is use sand. Move it around your teeth using your tongue.

Sand is also the best thing to use to get grease stains off your hands.
