whole different state and I'm not use to being with these kind of people. At my last school there were only native americans but here there are only three and I feel like an idiot when people are talking and I have no idea what they are talking about. The people here are really nice but I just can't seem to fit in... someone help... any advice will do.

Time will help a whole lot. It's never easy breaking in new surroundings when the whole atmosphere of a different state may be different then from what you left. Surely in time you'll catch on. Bring your own uniqueness to it and surely true friends will love you for it. ; )

Hang back, keep a low profile, your mouth shut and your ears open. Take notes if you have to.
You will eventually run into someone friendly who is willing to clue you in on the local culture.
You might want to enroll in some clubs or other extracurricular activities to better your chances of meeting people to socialize with.

Just try to relax, be yourself and don't worry about what people are talking about, just be nice and join in. Eventually you will understand what they are talking about and they will be happy that you are just a normal nice person, like them. Good luck

Fitting in is not always a good thing. Just be yourself and believe in yourself and you're bound to make friends.
