Sims 2 Deluxe Wedding?

Question

I have built a relationship between two sims and they live in the same house, they are in love engaged, and I even pressed the marry button. When I try to throw a party after decorating the whole house the phone will not let me throw a wedding party. Do I need to do something special, be specific. I have the arch. This is for P.C.

you can get married two ways
1) Throw a wedding party (optional) and click on the arch which gives you the option get married
2) click on the other sim - go to propose then marry. If you dont have that option then you're married.
If you're married you wont be able to throw that party

If you hit the marry button, chances are, your sims are already married. Check under their relationship pictures. If you see a picture of one ring, that means they are married. If the picture has two rings, they're still engaged.

To marry a couple, you need to click on the throw parties option, then choose to have the wedding party. You don't need anything special except having two sims engaged to each other. By clicking on the propose marriage button, you are essentially marrying your sims without a party.

make sure you dont have any custom content that might be interfering with it or even hacks.. I had a hack in mine, and that same exact thing happened to me
