IQ tests are very accurate -- for what they test. But there are a lot of things they don't test.
Everyone likes to think they are smarter than average -- but the truth is that half the people in the world score lower than average.
Because of the margin of error, 94 is not statistically different than 100 -- and 100 is average. That makes you smarter than three billion people.
That isn't anything to be ashamed of. Each of us (even those with high IQs) have some areas where most people in the world are better than us -- and each of us (even those with low IQs) have some area where we are better than most people.

I am a cognitive science major, and have seen the actual Stanford-Binet test in one of my classes - those online tests are nothing like the original. I wouldn't pay any attention to them. Even if you did have an IQ of 94, that is still very close to average (100). And, you have to realize what IQ tests actually measure; they don't measure you innate smartness (whatever that might be), they depend quite a bit on your schooling and culture. Scores can vary as much as 15 points between races - this has nothing to do with some races being smarter than others (that's not true), and everything to do with the test being culturally biased. That score means nothing, don't worry about it. If you are really interested, try reading "The Mismeasure of Man" by Stephen Jay Gould.

I've done a few IQ tests and had scores from 101 to 140+ so I would say they are not particularly reliable per se. However, the one that gave me a score of 101 was based very much on visual questions, with no word or number ones, while the one giving me a score of 140+ was a particularly math-oriented one (well I do have a degree in maths). what you have to remember is that there are many types of intelligence - for example language, numerical, emotional, visual, musical - and just because a test says you have an IQ of whatever, it doesn't apply to all types of intelligence.

I don't believe in IQ tests. Give me all the thumbs down you want. IQ tests do not measure correctly. IQ tests do not take in account maybe you had a bad night the night before or a bad morning. IQ tests do not measure if you have common sense. IQ tests don't measure if someone has test anxiety. I would not put stock in how an IQ tests measures a persons intelligence. I believe the testing is flawed.

my Human Development teacher told me that some people don't score high on those things, or SAT's, or ACT's, because they are made by a certain people, and if you aren't one of those people, you can't do too well. Like let's say a white-high class-harvard grad, writes the test, well, im an asian-middle class-high school grad-who isn't a good test taker in the first place, taking the test, im screwed.
by the way, you're not stupid. IQ is just another ratio/number for people to judge others by.

nah, you're not stupid. The IQ tests are not always accurate and depend on a variety of factors.
You may be just about average, not too smart, not too dumb. Good luck.

Well, here's my two cents worth. IQ tests have been showed to be biased- if you are a minority for instance due to the questions that are chosen I believe. So if you aren't a wasp yes they may be inaccurate. I usually get about 120-125(at least in high school).
