I love to have a glass(or two) of wine every night. My husband recently brought this to my attention, saying that I shouldn't drink more than 5 oz a night. Is it bad to have 10 oz of wine a couple of times a week and the other days, just having 5oz? I get frusterated because my husband doesn't like me to drink more than two drinks, no matter where we go(party, club, dinner, etc.) and we are only 25 years old. Not that I want to go get drunk on a regular basis, but I think that it is okay to go out and have fun, and drink with all of our friends more than once a year. What do you think?

Drink now while you can, before you have kids. Enjoy yourselves, go out, be crazy, have 15 oz of wine, even 20 oz. Tell him to back off and when you are ready to stop drinking you will let him know.

The girls had a night out and I am not a drinker but sitting there sipping my glass of wine I do love to do a bit of people watching
I noticed this beautiful lady, well groomed, rather striking and on and off I would look in her direction to see what was going on with the little group she was with.
Two hours later, the beautiful sticking girl was gone, she was sloppy, her eyes and face had lost the spark, was weaving and spitting all over the people ( you know the kind of spittle that comes from losing control) and I was sad for her
Do you have a problem? Ask people around you ( those not all ready drunk ) WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE AT THE END OF THE EVENING, AND HOPE THEY WILL TELL YOU HONESTLY AND TRUTHFULLY

Who said you had to drink to have fun? You may well be on your way to having a drinking problem if you think like that. Respect your husband's wishes and don't drink wine every night. You might be surprised to see how well you get along without it and when you have kids, they won't see mom drinking every night thinking it's ok. They won't pay attention to how much you drink, they will only know you drink and copy your ways and we all know that young people have a huge drinking problem in this country today.
If you don't like the tap water in your area, have a reverse osmosis machine attached to your sink for your drinking water. That removes chlorine and other chemicals in the water and makes it much easier to drink. We had one installed earlier this year and it is so nice to not have to buy water at the store anymore and we can cook with that water, too, which helps the flavor of the food.
We don't drink alchol at all and we get by just fine. I wonder why you feel you need it or why you feel this is the only way to be sociable. Thinking that way spells trouble, if not now, in the future as your body needs more and more to help you cope. Your husband is concerned because he loves you. Do you love yourself enough to be concerned, too, now that he has voiced his concern?

I think you are 25, and you should act like a responsible adult.
I don't think a glass or two of wine is bad (more is) nor do I think going out and "having fun" is wrong either, as long as you are responsible and have a designated driver.

you need to work this out to a fair amount that you both can work with.. then stick to it and him stick to what hes good with too. but if it keeps giving you problems it might be worth quiting. you then will have to decide whats more important him or drinks. doing a few like that every night can turn into more later in the years even. if its cause you two problems then i would think your marriage to him would come first... anytime it makes problems and it dont change then there is a problem.. good luck

Are you being honest with us, or even yourself about your drinking?
You have a drinking problem only when your drinking causes negative consequences in your life and you keep drinking anyway.
Good luck. If you ever want to know more on the topic, let me know. I used to be a drunk. Now I am a gratefully recovering alcoholic.

If you can go more than a week WITHOUT drinking and feel fine, no shakes or sweating, then you are fine.
