this song is an older song and i remember hearing at my grandmothers. she had it on an 8 track. but i dont know who sings it.can anyone help?

Yes, I do remember it. This song was done by Shirley & Squirrely and was a minor hit in 1976. This is one of the few songs where the name of the group was the same as the song. The only other one I can think of right now is a song called "Yellow Balloon" by Yellow Balloon.
