In Elder Scrolls Oblivion how do you kill the ghosts? I was unable to hurt them using magic and melee.?

I used longswords and fire and frost magic. Please help i want to explore the dungeon.

You can kill a ghost with magic. Even the weak "Flare" spell will work. Silver weapons will work also. Turn your difficulty down if you have to.

Magic should be working, your skill might just be low

You need a Silver or Better quality weapon or it can be enchanted, in order to damage them with weapons.
