I'm not the fastest of walkers, but my husband walks at a fast pace all the time. He has a tendency to walk ahead of me, and often just walks off and leaves me if I stop to look at something or talk to someone. After a while he notices that he's not talking to anyone, and comes back only to accuse me of "leaving him talking to himself."

In my opinion he should pay enough attention to notice when I'm gone, or even hold my hand while we walk so that I don't get left behind. He thinks I should just walk faster - what do you think?

Why does he walk so fast? Is it an anxiety thing? When I'm anxious in public I tend to walk so fast that my partner can't keep up with me. He says I start running, but I just have really long legs! If it's anxiety, be kind and keep up the pace.

I don't know what to say, b/c my husband does the same thing lol. He's 6ft7in and I'm only 5ft5in and have very short legs! One stride for him is like 3 for me! He gets so mad at me b/c I walk to slow for him! I just tell him to shut up or I'll embarrass him by having to RUN just to keep up with him! Usually he will slow down or make me walk in front of him so he doesn't leave me behind! Try him walking behind you, it works for us

You need to move those little legs woman! We don't take time to look at the cutesy things and appreciate them. When we're walking, we're walking with purpose. We have something to do, somewhere to go. I hold my girlfriends hand and end up pulling her along. Then we have to stop holding hands.

Regards,

Brandon

Get better running shoes and take up running so you're fitter than he is. Also, put a little pebble inside one of his shoes underneath the lining. He will be uncomfortable and will have to stop to remove it, during which you can catch up.

Trust me. If this is the biggest problem the two of you have, you need to get on your knees and thank God for your blessings.

Read some of the other questions on here for a while to help put things into perspective.

Good luck pokey.

LOL That is so cute :) I do the same to my husband.....I tell him he dawdles. I make the effort to slow down, and he, bless his heart, tries to speed up. Then we end up holding hands....more I think to keep me from plowing ahead. :) I did suggest getting one of those springy kid leashes to put on my arm. Of course he was mortified. :)
