Nope, It completely up to the company, whether to pay for maternity leave.
Why should a company pay your salary, when your not there working ??
That doesn't make any sense.
If the kid who mowed your grass, broke his leg skate boarding, would you continue to pay him what he earned for mowing your grass, while he healed, and then also pay the new kid to mow your lawn ?
Of course you wouldn't.

I don't think it's required to be paid anywhere. I could be wrong though. I live in Montana, and work for a LARGE business that has GREAT benefits, and we still only get 60% paid maternity leave if we've been for the company for 4 years. I was very surprised when I found this out because it's a very "family friendly" company. I don't think many places offer it. If you think about it, it really isn't THEIR choice you're having a baby, so why should they pay for it? It sucks but it's the truth. If there is a Human Resources department or number you could call I would ask them.

Only if they offer it. If a public employer offers paid leave to an employee they must offer it to one who adopts a child.
Doesnt help you. But you can take a look at the link.

All you can get is the family leave. It is unpaid though. Why would you think you should get paid for not working?
