No I do not think he has the right to take the child away from you but if the child has his name and he has helped financialy visitation rights would be expected.
Seck legal help
For your child sake you do want the father in his life and if he continues to help financialy, the best gift you can give your child is that he has a loving father even if he is not with you, keep the door open that child is going to grow up and will benefict from having a dad he can visit or write or ask his advice when needed, good luck

This may depend on the country you live in since some have stricter laws about men getting the child and all (even when they don't deserve them).

Try to document what you can about him not being around the child, get witness statements, etc, and see an attorney. You need legal advice on what to do if he tries to take the child.

you need to get an attorney - go to legal aid in your area if you can't afford one - but he won't be able to get the child from you unless he can show some reason why the child would be better being raised in that country instead of here

I think this totally depends on the country. Here in the US, I would bet my life that he would have no rights. He abandoned his child before birth, and left him again. You should be safe from losing your child if your here in the USA.

You are the birth mother it is possible he could take your child but very highly unlikely rarely do courts side with the father unless the mother is proven unfit.
