Life presents itself with many insurmountable problems, difficulties, vagaries of fate and human nature. It has a tortuous course. It never draws a line without smudging it. In spite of all the problems and complexities it is WORTH LIVING!
Ask them who have a few minutes left to live.

Life is an analogy. "Its like the erect city," "Its like the clouds against the mountain." Now, I know this isn't going to answer that part of your question because everyone has a different little useless thing to say about life. But, what I would point out is that you think there is something called life. I don't know if this is life at all, but I'm not looking for it. And is it worth it? Is the sun worth more than the earth? Is a cheesecake worth more than a grilled cheese sandwich? You tell me, I would say they both have some kind of worth, but its not of any value to me.
Ultimately, these are not questions you need to go and ask anybody. You don't even need to listen to people talk of it. Only you are going to find out the answer to these questions in your own way.

We have a human nature that demands that our lives be worth living.
But how do we reckon worth? Most people find their worth in the eyes of others. We see real and imagined praise from others as being evidence of our worth. So to have worth, we have to do something to earn praise. "I want to make a difference in the world", "be all I can be", "live life to the fullest", etc. These are expressions of doing something to earn praise that gives us this feeling of worth.
But most praise isn't genuine. People use praise to encourage certain behavior. We know this but we deceive ourselves into thinking that praise means worth.
Some people see love as making life worthy of living. Children, for example, have worth simply though the love between parent and child. Love does not require that we do anything to earn worth.
Christians believe that our lives have worth simply by being sons and daughters of our Creator.

well, life is like a game. I dunno how you play video games but I will tell you how I used to play them when I was a child. I never played to win - for me the game itself was intriguing. When I played race car games I never cared if I was losing just as long as I got to drive the car on the racetrack. I would be going backwards, and there would be a sign saying 'you're going backwards' and it wouldn't matter to me because I didn't care about winning. In all the games I played reaching the goal never was of real interest to me, but rather playing the game was the most fun. I think that's the same with life - you just have to enjoy the present and even if you don't know where your life is going maybe that doesn't matter as long as you find a way to have fun
