Showing love doesn't mean sex.
To answer your question, we were teenagers once and know from experience how much easier your lives would be if you didn't have to copy our mistakes. But, when I was a teen, I didn't listen either. There is nothing wrong with having fun. Just be careful.

well not all adults feel that way, trust me. I'm raising 3 teenage daughters and they feel like u do. Now this is where things get complicated. The more space you give your child, the more room they will make. There's alot of shyt that goes on out there and being that "when they were going, i was already coming back" i have the experience to pretty much protect them. I allow my girls to go to parties but, i have a problem when they try to dub a guy while dancing. I'm a mom, im raising daughters, not h03s. If your parents are on your case, its love and concern, not hate. and screw what other adults say about teenagers. The world will always judge u and most of the time be wrong anyway. just b smart.

I am 30 yrs old and a substitute teacher in the hs district, and i don't feel that teenagers are BAD, i do feel that they can be disrespectful. (I once subd for a class that did nothing but swear, yell, cuss at me when i told them that i wanted their normally loud study hall to be a quiet study hall. They ended up getting so out of hand and disrespectful that i had the entire hs security guard system that consisted of 4 adults, balled down to my one class. The entire comotion could be heard from halfway down the hall. I am sorry, but NOBODY deserves to be treated that way, ESPECIALLY somebody that is your elder). So when most adults say that teenagers are disrespectful, it's probaly from personal experience. But going to parties and what not isn't wrong or bad in and of itself, but knowing how to be responsible about it is the important thing. Things like , not drinking, smoking, doing drugs, or hangign out with people who do so. And it's not that adults are uptight, is just that we know that there is so much that you need to learn, and that's what seperates us. That we have learned and you haven't. And you're probably right, that we have forgotten what it's like to be a teenager, but i gotta tell you that when i was your age, i didn't really do that type of stuff, go to wild parties, and do crazy things, i wasn't raised like that. And i ALWAYS treated people older than me with respect.

When I was a teenager I was taught my place in society. I didn't have friends at all as no one liked me and I wasn't into doing anything bad. I was a good kid and was very mature for my age. I studied hard in school and was more mature then most kids in my classes. I never dated in my life as my mom wouldn't let me go anywhere because she was afraid I might get raped and end up pregnant. A lot of teenagers don't understand anything about the world and don't respect their parents or authority figures. They don't know anything about STDS, pregnancy, birth control, and are doing all these crimes. The girls are dressing like those naked whores on music videos and inviting men to rape them. They are joining gangs and turning to drugs and alcohol and cutting themselves because they are depressed. They don't have the skills to live on their own and get a job and think that they can't get pregnant the first time they have sex. When they do get pregnant they either kill the baby or push it on their parents because they don't want to give up their social life. Too many teenagers are immature little brats who think they know everything about the world and they get in trouble for that.

Why do a lot of TEENAGERS stereotype ADULTS?
According to research the front part of a teenage brain is not fully developed until their mid-20's Therefore, teenagers are not able to for see the consequences of their actions. Adults should be more aware of this and continually guide teens on the right path.
BTW out-of-control parties and showing "love" to your boyfriend can have major consequences. Like death, jail time, and early parenting. Think about it... do you want that?

I know, adults are actually worse than teens, it just seems like we're worse cause we're underage. If adults drink, it's okay, and then if a teen drinks all of a sudden their punks. The only difference really is age. Just because the law says we have to be a certain age to do something doesn't mean we're such horrible people if we do them.
btw I'm not even really like the stereotypical teen.

i'm 67 yrs. old...and yes,,,over 50 yrs. ago i was a teenager,,I wore my hair in a duck tail hairdo,,wore all the 50's clothes you see in Grease,,,the most potent thing I ever got my head buzzed with was beer..I hated whiskey and wine. I didn't get any teenager pregnant and run off,,I didn't do any drive-by shootings, I wasn't on welfare, and i married and have stayed with my college sweetheart all these years,,we have 3 daughters in their 30's who have children of their own...one of them is a 15 yr. old girl who has her eye on the prize, going to college and making something of herself.. She has lots of friends, but no serious b/f yet,,,anyway,,,yes, you're right, we do tend to stereotype SOME teenagers,,at least I do,,and those are the ones who seem to think they have to look like, be like, and act like celebrities that are out of control...So, slam me if you feel like you need to...but this my answer....

I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't even have a boyfriend. But my uncle insists on stereotyping me into some kind of wild child. It gets annoying sometimes. He thinks he's making a joke, when it's not even funny!

Like you said, they were teenagers once. So they know what it's like and what can happen. Oh, and about that showing that you love your boyfriend thing: what exactly did you mean?
I didn't understand that......
