"Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts...
Its an absolutely amazing book that really helps open a person's mind up to the cruelty and harshness of life, while providing tips on how listening will bring you the reward of wisdom. The epitome of a great factual based novel.

James Patterson's "Maximum Ride" His sci-fi is much better reading than his other works. Also check out Piers Anthony, Robert Asprin, and Robert Jordan just to name a few authors.

My favorite author is James Patterson... I am reading his newest book....You've Been Warned.... good or any of his books with the character Alex Cross... a good read
