My 13 Year Old Son When Asked What He Would Like As A Gift For Any Occasion Always Says Just Buy Me Some CD's Or Head Phones For His CD Player, And Of Course Just By Me A Game For My Game System. I Would Like To Buy Him A Gift That Would Really Catch Him Off Guard And Make Him Say WOW, I'm Hoping Someone May Have Some Good Ideas.

It all depends on what he is really in to, and what he really likes, I know mine really wants a cell phone, and they have them out for kids now, that has all the main numbers (reletives) and they come pre-paid, and Im sure he would love how it would make him "look cool", also, how about a pet? Hamster, a bird, puppy, even a cool looking fish!, Does he enjoy science? How about a telescope? So he can look at the planets,a nd moon and star's? What about Guitar
lesson's? ( if he is musicialy inclined of course) Also, my son and I have a tradition, where every b-day, he gets to pick out what restarunt he wants to go to, like it used to be Chuckey Cheese, and now (thank God) his choice is Red Lobster or Olive Garden, and it gives us quality alone time to talk, also he loves to go to arcades, a really cool thing I do for him at times (like his B-day) is I cash in like $40 bucks worth of quarter's and tell him to "Go crazy"! They love this, and trust me, they will remeber stuff like that when they get older, cause it is "specail" to them and means alot, cause most parents don't really do stuff like this . How about a skate board? or a new bike? I hope I have at least given you a few good idea's! Good luck, and I hope it is specail, cause they only get to be little for to short of a time!

Get him those really good noise-cancelling headphones called Boes or Bose or something...they're like $300 but you won't get a better sound.

I don't know what game system he has, but here's some ideas based on what he has:

Wii : Metroid Prime 3, or preorder a copy of Super Smash Brothers Brawl

Xbox 360 : Halo 3

Nintendo DS: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Consider something live like a hermit crab, lizard, or a hamster. What about an MP3 player so he can download his favorite songs? There are nice digital cameras that are fairly inexpensive and easy to use. Taking pictures can be a great hobby.

Buy him a book - a good adventure novel - and encourage him to read. Literature will last him a lifetime while CDs and games are only for the moment. Harry Potter ain't bad.

I did this with my sister take paper cups(2) and and a enamel p.c.. and make hollow on the backside of two of them. then take a thread and positioned it in the process the holes (which you made with the toothpick) and then make a knot at each and every end of the thread. then you definately offered a telephone which does no longer choose electrical energy(the thread desires to be immediately once you communicate)

Guitar Hero 3 is coming out on the 28th. I know, it IS a video game, but its interactive and really fun, especially for the xbox 360.

I'm not a 13 year old boy, (thank God) but I can tell you what my 13 year old boy is begging me for.

A better MP3 player
Digital Camera
4' ramp for his skate board
Halo 3 (sooo not gonna happen)
a "real" diamond for his ear (yeah right)
surround sound in his room

OK So maybe mine dreams big.. but there it is.

just get a ipod for his music listening, and sometimes it's hard to make a teenager say wow, so if you really want to surprise him, then you could spoil him with getting a game and ipod(possibly the original ipod with the videos, cause he may want to show it off to his friends)

These are expensive, but in general, you want something that will make his friends jealous.

Bose QuietComfort headsets
Flying lessons
An IPhone
Driving lessons
Dirt bike
great concert tickets, for him and a friend without you.
