The Nebraska Cornhusker defense used to be so strong but now the blackshirts are kinda bad. I'm not trying to complain but what happened?

What happened? The fans expected to win a championship nearly every year. The team had a bad year (still within a couple years of winning a national title) and decided everything about the team had to change. The style of play could not longer be competitive with other programs (did I mention this was shortly after winning three national titles in I four years, I think, with that "outdated" style of play?) Impatience and unrealistic goals of the boosters and fans is what happened.
BTW I don't like the cornhuskers and Osbourne was a win at all costs coach. Beat your girlfriend, committed rape? Don't worry, you'll still play. One of those girls was the daughter of a former player. After the police failed to investigate or do anything, can't keep one of the stars from playing because of a pesky rape charge, that former player took his husker national championship ring and flushed it.
All that aside, it was ridiculous what they did with Solich and totally changing the whole system.

Don't feel bad about complaining, Nebraska fans used to cheer for one of the strongest programs in history. Now, under different managment, the team has waned. It's one of those cycles that hits every team it seems like. It usually happens when a coach retires, finds a different job or just loses his control of the situation and is fired. That's usually when a program goes into a decline. I believe that the Osbourne will find a way to strengthen the program, by either pressuring Callahan or firing him. Whatever it takes to make the "Blackshirts" name formiddable again.

Kevin Cosgrove, the Nebraska defensive coordinator should be fired. So should head coach Bill Callahan and the other coaches.

it got shucked.. and it will again and again because the players don't believe in the coaches.. so what happened to the defense?.. COACHES
