I'm not sure about what your asking but if it's about what type of government the USA has, they have a federal constitutional republic.

Democractic governments are those characterized by frequent elections, allowing citizens to participate in political discourse and to choose their leaders. The word democracy comes from the Greek words "demos" + "kratos", literally, "people rule".

Totalitarian governments are those wherein the state controls nearly every aspect of public and private behavior. State control would come from an overall ideology that the state drills upon the people through various forms of mass media.

Capitalism is an ideology, and not a form of government. It is rooted in the idea that the market (economy) is the most efficient way of distributing scarce resources. The market is made up of individual, private, players exchanging goods and services with each other through the price mechanism.

Socialism is also an ideology that envisage a socio-economic system wherein property and wealth distribution are subject to control by the community. This is different from Capitalism where all exchanges are between private individuals only, with no element of influence by the community. Commonly, socialist systems involved public or state control of the means of production.

Communism is an extreme form of socialism. It is an ideology that seeks to establish a classless, stateless, society based on common ownership of the means of production.

I'm pretty sure it's the first one: we're democratic vs totalitarian. I know we used to be capitalists back in the Cold War era, but I'm not sure if we still are.

If you are going to ask a question, at least be clear about what you are asking. Which is better or worse? Which is right or wrong? Which of these most accurately describes the actual political landscape in the U.S.? Don't ask a question and then leave it up to others to try and figure out what the basis of the question is. I'm not going to arbitrarily decide what you are asking and then answer it.
