One time my Grandma made this horrible enchilada stuff...(not real enchiladas)...It had fake-tasting beef inside it, and artificial tortillas...and she put MAYO inside it...the sauce tasted like canned ravioli sauce gone spicey...I put TONS of salsa on it... Grandma made me add a HUGE glob of sour cream on it because "that's how the Mexicans eat it" ...the dish made me gag, but I covered it with a cough. Also, she called it her "delicious, gourmet Mexican meal". Anyway, she asked me if I liked it and I said, "Yes...it's *cough, cough* interesting..." because I know that she loves me and worked hard on the meal ;]]

Oh, and my Grandparents both LOVED it! I spotted my Grandpa grabbing seconds and thirds, but maybe he was just being a good hubby...;]]

Because I love my family, I'm not afraid to be blunt. If I don't want to eat it, I don't. My family doesn't believe in 'force-feeding'. Personally, it only makes the problem worse if you tell them you like it.

Actually, my whole family is blunt (Well, dad's side is blunt in a nice way, mom's side, well, you better not be an over-sensitive person!) But yeah. I don't eat it. i don't care what they say.

Now, when I'm at a stranger's house (like sleep over with friend for first time) I'll mkae myself eat it. I hate being rude to strangers. Family, eh, they'll get over it! But the grossest thing I've eaten because of a stranger was... let's see... Tie between this thing that looked like pork butt, even though they swear it isn't, and this ravioli/spagetti stuff.

Once my Mother in Law made this catfish dish covered with tomato sauce. It was I guess an attempt at a casserole, but to this day I am not sure. Now when we go to her house, we do not let her cook but instead keep feeding her drinks so she stays out of the kitchen.

Today I had to go to a meeting for school with some old people to present something we're doing. We had to eat there and they had some Mexican corn dish, something like chili with beans, cheese, noodles, lots of spices, and onions, and salad with mandarin oranges, avocados, and mushrooms. It was really terrible, but we ate it anyway.

Red Beans and Rice. The taste of Lime was overwhelming. I tried pushing it into a little pile on my plate to make like I ate most of it.

I used to go out with this guy who was super sweet and liked to cook for me- but his meatloaf (which he LOVED!) was just disgusting! I ate a decent amount and filled up on the other stuff!

My mother's Thanksgiving attempt.
Strange as is sounds thank God for ketchup. It really overwhelms the taste buds against offensive turkey.
