no you shouldnt play midfield that position requires being really fit and you have to be fast enough to run from defense to offense. So in this case you should be a defender, goalie,or forward and if your a defender you should not be afraid f pushing people around and fighting for the ball.If your a forward you should have a strong kick and be able to get pass defenders and make good crosses. And finaly if you are a goalie you can't be afraid to get hit with the ball or to dive in and be a leader of the team. You can see what is going on up the field your offense can't as well as you.So it all breaks down to this and what your more comfortable with!Good Luck

Dang, not very fast eh? NO WAY DEFENSE-its the quickest position but the easiest. Midfield is the hardest but doesnt require that much speed, just running. The point is you gotta pass and cross the ball with great accuracy, that's the thing.MIDFIELD it is, GO FOR IT!

if you are not fast, don't play any positions on the sides(offensive or defensive). 5'2 is rather short for 7th grader. so i think you should just play at the middle. 5'2 as a goalie wouldn't be good. a mid-fielder doesn't need to be very fast. but you need to learn how to make good passes and how to read the game. you need to have good stamina too....

Well, start with goalie..
goalie- is for people particularly tall, a lil heavy, fast reslexes, and not afraid of the soccer ball. im a goalie. im very good but i sometimes take years to perfect. (it took me about 4 yrs to try to perfect it and im still not perfect.) goalie's shouldnt be very timid, but somewhat aggressive.
defence (sweeper, stopper)- this is for people who can tackle the ball and clear it out fast and long. this you dont have to be fast. (i hate this one)
midfield- you run alot in this. if you are outside mid. then you would be running up and down the sidelines waiting for a breakaway to the goal, a wide pass, or someone to pass to. this is much like offence but stays back to help defence when needed.
offence- this is for people with good aim, nice far kick, and somewhat fast. you dont have to be fast but it can help. you would need to know how to do fakes to fake out the defenders or know how to do a nice pass without haveing the other team take it.
i hope this helped. =]

my guess is in middle school/jr high you dont need to worry about your physical features yet, but i would recommend that you play defence. if you dont have a lot of speed you cant run the balls down like a mid fielder or attacker should. with defence its all about body position relative to the position of where the ball on the field and where the attacker is. speed is not the greatest asset needed to be a good defender its body positioning

well i think u should first try runing so u can get fast and then from there i recomend middle because u can go up and down and even once in a while score a goal.

maybe you should work on ur speed then... bcoz seriously dude, football is a sport that requires speed. even the goalkeepers.(i am a goalkeeper too) it can wipe u out. u nid to be quick. so i guess you just have to improve ur speed. ^^

if you're a beginner, you should try fullback. You stay back most of the time, blocking balls.
