I am not a Republican, I am an Independent conservative, President Bush has an approval rating of 24% however Congress has an approval rating of 11%. In the state of Nevada Senator Harry Reid has a lower rating than Bush.
The President can only do so much, Congress is responsible for all appropriations (spending) if the President asks for money and Congress gives it to him people blame him. So these approval ratings are an indication that the people of America are pissed off at Congress twice as much as they are pissed off by Bush.
We need to clean house by getting rid of all career politicians and get new blood infused into our government, few people realize that there has been a Bush or a Clinton in the white house for the last 24 years (when GWB leaves) and it is possible that these same 2 families could be in for a total of 32 years if Hillary pulls off a miracle.
1984 - 1992 Regan/ George HW Bush (VP)
1992 - 2000 Bill Clinton
2001 - 2008 George W Bush
Time for a change.

He isn't all that popular but those who still like him do so because he isn't willy-nilly and takes action on things needing done whether or not his decisions are popular. In addition, he is a capitalist and a nationalist in a sea of Marxism and internationalism which also is seen as a positive by many. By the way, the US economy has been doing quite well during his Presidency but it took across the board tax cuts early on to get a fast declining economy on the move again.

American politics are driven by power and greed. It's the "Capitalist" mentality spurred on by a global economy. Polticians don't run this country - "Big Business" and "Special Interest Groups" run this country - Bush is nothing more than a puppet. What's going on in Iraq and Afghanistan have religeous implications. When that happens, it's a no-win situation for everyone. This whole "God told me to go to war" is bullshit! Whomever's mouth it comes out of. And most Americans can't strike, protest, etc. because most Americans are too occupied just trying to raise a family and make ends meet. The economy is bad, there are few well-paying jobs, and people just can't afford to do anything that could jeopardize the jobs they have. There are alot of people in this country who don't like what's going on. But there's not a hell of alot we can do about it. And I wouldn't exactly call Iraq and Afghanistan "harmless".

He is NOT popular in the USA.
He has a 24% approval rating....the worst of any President since Herbert Hoover.
George Bush is a national embarassment. As for Iraq, the USA can't even control the city of Baghdad. As for the economy...we're going into a recession.

Sounds like you're all so jealous of how great of a job he and his constituents are doing, so you have to log on to Yahoo answers and spit out your anger!!!! Get a real life! He's a great President, in spite of all your egotistical comments. Why can't you all accept the facts....he is in the White House and saving this country from Terrorists that will blow up their heads to kill Americans, in a heartbeat! And all you anti Bush haters can do is sit, and write and judge him! What does that say about our American Society as a whole?????? Why don't you stand up and run for President and try to accomplish half of what he has in the eight, great years he has served....let's see if you will accept your own criticism as easily when it is directed at YOU!!!

Ummm... he is NOT popular, he was "elected" by the slimmest of margins & has one of the lowest approval ratings for a president ever.
We will all have a party when King George is gone.

George bush is not popular in america. Especially to democrats. Some republicans still stand beside him but slowly but surely the whole country is realizing what a dope he is.
His stupidity and failure in the middle east is hurting the whole republican party.
