It's pathological. If he is really the terrible, detrimental player that you people make him out to be then why is it that Yankee fans hate him so? You should enjoy him, if he's such a cancerous influence on the Red Sox. It ought to crack you right up. If the Yankees had a player undermining them the way that you act like Manny undermines the Sox that player would be my favorite Yankee. I'd laugh my *** off over him. But you Yankee fans just seethe over Manny Ramirez. Are you really that bitter over being eliminated in the first round?

I would almost concede the A-Rod point, but you guys also hate A-Rod, at least a lot of the time. And Sox fans don't hate on Jeter. They fear and respect him. Check out any "Is Jeter Really A Hall of Famer?" question--there will be as many Red Sox fans as Yankees fans defending him.

Frankly, I don't really care about what Manny Ramirez says or does. Some Red Sox fans are bothered by that statement though. What Manny said really has nothing to do with Yankee fans, but still everybody has a voice and they aren't afraid to use it. I actually like Manny. All fans are different, too. Not all Red Sox fans would defend Jeter. I'm sure a lot of them would actually put him down (he's not that good at defense...).

For example:
It makes Yankee fans feel good to hate Red Sox (Manny Ramirez)
It makes Red Sox fans to hate Yankees (Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Mike Mussina)

Bitter? Why do we keep getting called bitter? Manny Ramirez is just being idiotic and quite frankly he could get a job as a clown and it still wouldn't make me mad. I don't care about the first round lost, there is always next year, I'm sad over Torre, but I can live with out him, if anything this year is a sucssess. I guess were "mad" at him because he's being such an idoit and still in the playoffs, while were out. Why should he or the Red Sox still be in the playoffs? Whatever the case is I don't care and whatever Yankee fans you talk to must have some hatird for Manny.

If the Yankees do sign Manny & even if they don't, the haters still doubt they make play offs but I wouldn't under estimate the Yankees at no time. Even with all the injuries last season, they managed to win 89 games more than most of the teams in the league & wow, miss play offs for first time in many years. Next year they should start another streak of making play offs & working on championship #27

The Yankee style is all business, always uptight, always looking over your shoulder for attacks by the owners. Someone being a goofball like Manny and not being disciplined for it sort of spits in the face of the Yankee way of doing busi--I mean baseball.
