Please don't fall into the trap that anything from the government is free. The government has no money ... it comes from tax payers like you and me.

The bill that Congress sent to the President to sign included tax payer funded health care for people who earn 3 times over the poverty line and for people as old at 25 years of age. It also included funding for illegal aliens.

Another major part of the bill would have encouraged people who are currently paying (and, can afford to pay) for health care to drop their employer-supported health care and replace it with health care paid for by tax payers.

The President had asked for Congress to compromise and remove those parts of the bill, but they refused and are now trying to make it look as though Republicans are against health care for children.

If you personally want to pay for health care for anyone, I encourage you to do so. But, I do not want to pay for health care for someone who can afford it. And, I do not want to pay for health care for illegal aliens. Do you?
