Wll if this has something to do with homework then CHEATER!!LOL:-)
Well after the French and Indian War Britain was in debt and to pay off these debts to other countries like for guns, clothing, etc. Britain put a tax on the colonies I forget what the tax was called. Maybe it was the stamp act, the tea act, or the sugar act but you should check that out yourself.

I'm just 13 years old so don't blame me if it's wrong

Well good luck and I hope I helped ;-)

Ohh sorry I forgot this or these acts or taxes angered the colonists and pretty much started the whole angry thing.
;-)
P.S. tell me if it helped or not

P.P.S Vote for me LOL

;-)

The hard-won victory in the French and Indian War had cost Britain millions of pounds and created an immense war debt. The prime minister at the time believed that the American colonies should be more tightly administered than previously. Since the British people themselves were already heavily taxed, and the colonies benefited greatly from the war, Britain concluded that the colonists should be asked to pay a larger share of the cost of running the empire.

Britain began taxing the colonies and this angered the colonists because they believed Britain had no right to tax them since they were not represented in Parliament. The taxes and duties that Britain placed on the colonies between 1764-1775 made the colonists believe that Parliament was trying to take away their liberties and seize their property, and by 1776 these feelings boiled up to such a point where they no longer felt that being part of England was in their best interest and they declared their independence.

The colonist that fought in the war gained experience which emboldened them and turned them into leaders for the next war.

It taught them that it is best to do their own homework, rather than coming on here and trying to get someone else to do it.
