as yonger people? If they do, I quit. I could never keep up with a young person's pace.....unless I had a great cheerleader!

Depends (no pun intended) on what you mean by "older."
Older gets farther away all the time. Haven't dated in years, but if I were I would be much less judgmental, more patient, and enjoy the ride much more. I'm sure you've heard the story of the old bull and the young bull and that's a pretty good analogy. I hate to hear that anyone has given up. Life is too short to live it lonely. Even a cyber relationship can be very special, as you know. peace

OH .. the answer is YES! Hey, I'm an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree ... over half century in age ... and yes, I DO date ... and am DATING at this time ..

For this summer, I was blessed to have a kind, gentle, caring and loving MAN come into my life .. and ... wow .. those dates are really, really interesting and nice. Hey, even though we are now separated by a couple thousand miles (for I am back home getting my house ready to sell) .. we STILL contact each other by E-Mail, Phone, and yes, send each other photos too .. and getting to know even more about each other this way! Looking forward to being able to be together around the holidays (for sure!)

I don't think older people date the same as young people. I think that as we age and gain experience, we take more time to listen and discover and savor. We know more what we are looking for and what we will accept and don't waste time on fruitless relationships. We know that we don't NEED someone, although we may WANT someone in our life.
I personally have given up- I just don't have the time or patience anymore to start anything.

When my Grandma died, my grandpa started dating. That was when I was in highschool, and I remember it made me so depressed because come Friday and Saturday nights, he'd be out on a date, and I would be sitting at home reading and watching TV. They used to play cards all the time. They'd "Double date" with another couple their age and play cards. or sit and watch tv together. or go to or rent a movie. Went to dinner...lunch....met for breakfast and talked over coffee.

No not really. Once you get to a certain age they put a limit on how many times you can go out in a month and how late you can stay out.
Also my walker tends to get in the way in bed.

I didn't start dating until I was 40, and it's like they say....Better late than never.
