This really good looking camp director at the camp the kids go to (they have family camp so parents get to go each summer) is a really good sport. We (parents) were playing a game of "spoons" and we started out with 30 around this huge table and in the end it was me and him left. And I beat him. He said no way you cheated. I said no I didn't!! He said I've never lost at this. How did you know what I had in my hand"?(Cards) and I said well I put down three fours in a row and figured you had to have picked them up and had them all in your hand so I just beat you to the spoon.
He looks at me with this strange look like I pulled out the sword from Arthur's stone or something, and says Wow, I don't think I've ever been outsmarted by intelligence before and this look that made me blush.
It was a compliment indeed and I wanted to hide under a rock. I could feel the envy from the other women there who were just doing cartwheels over one another to get his attention all weekend long! LOL
I won't say it's the best cause I've gotten lots over the years. This one meant a lot because it's been a long time this old married gal got one from a good looking hot single 30 something yowza dude!!! â¥â¥â¥

On my wedding day 16 years ago...when my soon to be husband first caught a good glimpse of me in my wedding dress as I walked up the aisle...his mouth dropped open & his knees buckled :-) Best compliment I have ever received!!! :-)

LOL SquirrelBait's takes me back...I also misheard somebody one time, an aquaintance from school. I though he said I was sexy, and I thanked him. No, he actually said I looked like a secretary. Not necessarily what I wanted to hear at 18 years old.
Other than that, a female friend told me that if I was a man, she'd marry me. That was nice.

one of my high school teachers told me that I always looked nice- this was in the late 60's when a lot of girls were dressing a little trashy- kind of like now, I guess! I always dressed kind of classically and he noticed. He was my band and orchestra teacher and the teacher who made the biggest impact on me in high school. That happened about 38 years ago and I still remember how special it made me, a shy girl, feel.

I once mistakenly blushed at a sweet man saying that I was hot only to find out that I misheard and he really said odd.

when my daughter was born the nurse went out in the hall to get the other nurses to show them how cute she was and they kept coming back each day....lol
