Nope. I have been in my field since day one, over 15 years ago, and I don’t get bored, just tired sometimes. I work with computers. I’m a Network Administrator and Computer Technician too. I have been in many places, worked for many companies under contracts, and currently working in a steady position for technical support.

I like what I do, and there is always something new, besides I have to keep up with technology so I always have something to read or look around. Is not boring at all, but could be frustrating some times due to “user stupidity”.

If you are bored after only 5 years, I would suggest looking around for a different job or at least to try to start moving up in your field to a better position with less problems and more $$$$.

Good luck.

I had a job for 7 years and after a while I did get bored and hated going to work everyday. I was so tired of it that I cut my hours in half because I didn't wanna be there. So, I felt since I was so miserable there It was time for me to move on and do something else. Now I love my job and can be there till I retire. It's probably about that time for you to move on. It's hard because you have been there for so long. But after you leave and find something new that you enjoy, you wont look back. Just give a 2 week notice just in case you do decide to go back you can! GOOD LUCK!

Well, I know that I wasn't bored with my job when I worked for Delta Air Lines. For the first 2 1/2 years I worked on the ticket counter and then the last 3 years on the Ramp. I actually loved my job on the Ramp (upclose to the plane) more than with the customers.
