any kind of deception. false age, wrong gender, someone else's picture, etc?
it is justified because of the anonymity that the internet offers, or is it wrong because it is a lie?

I have told you the truth from the beginning. I love you, and I hope you dont think any less of me because i weigh 400lbs.
It is wrong because anonymity is supposed to protect the innocent. Not the depraved. The depravity of anonymity is... a cloak being put over the pathetic, who can not connect because they are so afraid of peo-ple finding out who they actually are, so afraid that they feel that they have to hide in anonymity that someone will find out who they really are or who they really are, and if these people on the net can not be accepting of the fake you, how could they be accepting of the real you. People are so afraid of the real you, that they have to make up they real "you". Being themselves. They are hiding something. Ugliness, emotionally discarded... etc...
The internet in an cloak. Period. I love you.

There you go again w a question that requires thinking.
I like Y/A because everybody I talk to is cute--or a kitty, or a fuzzy puppy. It would be my guess that people are more honest here than in real life. I think I am.
Just this morning another P&Ser and I were discussing the fact that we are pretty guarded w our personal info. That is only prudent.
I have made some friends here and am reasonably sure of them.
That includes someone who is a fuzzy kitty and calls herself a goat.

I try to take as par for the course just like in the outside world there are going to be people that lie, some people go through every facet of their life telling lies, I don't understand people that do that and I just do my best to avoid them!!

If they deceive you on line they will deceive you offline. I consider them as predators. People looking for something or someone under false pretenses. Stay away from those types of people once you find out they have deceived you.
