when i try to connect the video card the monitor wont turn on. i already went into the bios and set it up to read from the PCI-E slot and nothing works only the onboard!!!!!???? what is wrong

Did you install the drivers for the video card? They came on the installation cd. If not, go to the manufacturers website, and download them.

does the video card have two monitor port? does the computer have a built in video card? if the puter has a built in card, you need to go into windows and turn off the built in card or switching the puter to pci-e card.
