The last time we tried to help out an African nation and to prevent a famine of biblical proportions was in Somalia in 1993 under Clinton, and looked at what happened.

Besides, Sudan has vast quantities of crude oil, but you already knew that, right?

Typical Liberal hogwash.

The Sudan, does have a wealthy oil supply.

I guess that just blows you " it's for the OIL " thing, right out of the water.

Dafur does have oil... the killing is happening on the land with the oil, the people are being killed so others can get to the oil... do you actually look up info before you regurgitate it from a far left website?

I think our government would if they had lost their sovereignty by attacking another country like Iraq and Afghanistan did .

Afghanistan attacked us, the Taliban had Al-Quada llisted as one of it's divisions.

Iraq did by trying to assassinate our President and repeatedly attacking our troops during the decade long cease fire they asked for while we were defending Kuwait.

You really aren't suggesting it's as simple as "oil," are you?
Politics as single-point motivated?

Simplistic and naive.

Besides which, how DARE we watch after our national interests abroad. BAD U.S. (slap nose) for getting upset when someone threatens to take away your food (energy)!

Its not about oil anymore. Iraq and Afganistan and public hatred of the current administration has so gutted our armed services we couldn't defend our own states if we came under attack.
