Money is the only reason people work.
Without money there would be no incentive to do anything.
The only alternative to money is the barter system, and that would make our lives hell
Did you pay for your PC with two sheep or ten buckets of apples?
I do appreciate what you mean about people who seem to have too much, but those people have only one thing they can do with that money, that is spend it.
When those people spend their money it is passed on to others as their wage.
We all need money to live, or we would go back to the dark ages.
Further information.
Yes I see the big picture.
The problems in Africa are caused by leaders who are corrupt. i.e. Mugabe.
There is only one reason his people are starving, Him.
The same goes for all other parts of Africa.
Yes lots of people are overpaid.
Every body will ask for what they can get.
The plumbers fee seems exorbitant, you could learn to do the job yourself.
The film star gets paid silly money. Blame the idiots who pay to go and see them. Nobody is going to refuse money if it is thrown at them.
You are rich beyond belief compared with people living in third world countries, but their problem is in ALL cases governments that refuse to let their people better themselves because they are corrupt.
There is enough of everything for the whole world but we cannot run other countries for them.

hmm, well we got along without money for a long time, but there was a lot fewer people then, bartering was the way you got something you wanted, and people only ever got things that were really needed, there was no consumer society as there is now, in fact right up until the 1920's people only bought what they needed, it was Sigmund Freuds nephew that thought up the idea of advertising things in a glamourous way, to make people want things for the sake of it, instead of for a specific need, however if you look at society today with its rampant consmerism and the amount of people employed in it, I dont see how we could go back to the days of only buying or bartering what you need, economies would collapse, there would be masses of unemployment, places like China and Indonesia would be in serious trouble, so maybe money is the root of all evil, but it currently keeps a lot of people fed.

How do you condense value? You might have 200 acres of fruit trees, but how on earth do you use that to buy a beer from the brewer? Are you gonna lug a bunch of bushels of fruit over to the pub every time you want something to drink?
Maybe what you really should be asking is "If greed didn't exist would the world be a better place?"

A world free of money, would not make life free of faults. The world population would continue with their corrupt tendencies of anger,greed,envy,deceit,lying,injustice,crime,ect...even a world without money wont rid the world of undersirable practised qualities,to maintain human dignity...

I think that is a wonderfull idea...
Why not start the revolution right away...
Just talk all of your family and friends into shedding themselves of all of that nasty money...
And if you decide to part with it all just email me and I will give you my Pay Pal data...
Or I will take checks, cash or money orders...
Long live the revolution!!!!!

Only for most working people - for others who live off the interest of money, it would suck because they'd have to get up and find a real job.

how would it. no one would go to work, resulting in a shortage of food, there would be anarchy. in an ideal world it would be nice for everyone to earn equal pay. and when i was younger i just thought well why doesn't the government just make more money. but if you consider it seriously it wouldn't work.

No, we'd all be carrying sheep, clothes, artefacts to swop...that's how it used to be before money was invented. It was invented for a reason and it works pretty well. Are you a communist, liberal or socialist?
