this question doesn't make any sense...

Why would Bush want to go to Tibet?

The Dalai Lama lives in India now...

Buddhists do not view the Dalai Lama as a political leader... we view him as a simple monk and teacher... being the reincarnation of the Buddha of compassion does not make him anything more than an enlightened human.

Shaking hands with the President of the US is just a formality. Bush and the Dalai Lama are about as opposite as two people can be.
HH (which stands for his holiness) spends most of his time speaking about love and compassion and non-violence... not war and denying healthcare.

If the Dali Lama had access to our military, how long do you think it would be before we would be bombing China over Tibet. With no military he's a sympathetic figure, with some tanks and planes, he would launch a war on China like the world has never seen.

Don't kid yourself.

No, the Llama wouldn't dare swap to lead our country. Our country doesn't want to do what's morally right. They want to make money and abuse labor forces. Peace be with us.....and pay it forward.
