Need to know if this is a good card. I plan on geting this card because i only can fit agp slots in my pc. So geting this plus 2 more gigs of ram(3 gigs all together). (will cost me about $300).I have a amd athlon 64 3400+ with xp.

I plan on upgrading my pc but dont have the money now to do it---plan on geting intel core 2 duo($270), mother board(150), memory(100-200), geforce 8800 gts or gtx or ultra(300-600), possably a new power supply, case, and some other little stuff like fans and so on. LIke to get a 22'' monitor but that will have to wait. Um, very costly. Sooo ..

Need to know if the geforce 7950 can handle newer games like call of duty 4, quake wars, and battle field, and so on. Im sure it can handle it but realy dont want to bring down the graphics to LOW. I dont need a card to last me for years just for a little while. thx thx thx

Thats a great card if you only have AGP 8X and run XP. Althou some DX10 AGP cards are out now none perform as well as the 7950 in DX9. As far as hardcore gaming goes XP and DX9 are yesterday's news. When you upgrade your tower put in a big DX10 card in and run Vista.

How plenty are you seeking to spend? A $one hundred seventy photos card is plenty greater advantageous than a $a hundred and ten photos card yet won't be able to evaluate to a $250 or $500 photos card. the main effectual enjoying cards are the GeForce GTX 590 and Radeon HD 6990, yet those are very costly (over $seven hundred)

the intel upgrade is overkill. upgrade the memory and get the 7950 card. I truly recommend you stay away from windows vista until they know out all the flaws in program. upgrade the processor to a dual core AMD processor.
