Yes! But only when God intervenes will there be total peace throughout the earth.
He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth.
The bow he breaks apart and does cut the spear in pieces;
The wagons he burns in the fire. Psalm 46:9

I am not sure that I would say that Pakistan was even in the middle east. I could be wrong but to me its more like the far east. However having said that Pakistan is a Muslim country and it seems to them to kill there own people is quite normal, especially the extremists Its sad that so many people were killed when Bhutto arrived . I cannot blame her but considering so many threats on her life she should have taken the offer of a helicopter. Whether this tragic event would still have happened is open to debate

Has there ever been peace in the middle east? Not that I call Pakistan the middle east since it is located in the far east and was at one time a part of India. After India won her freedom from the British, there were wars between the Hindus and the Muslims which resulted in the division of the country and the formation of Pakistan which is a Muslim nation.

The Muslim religion is suppose to be a peaceful religion. I just think most of the Muslim nations are misled. Killing their own people could not be condoned by their religion.

Pakistan is in Asia... Why would anyone call Bhutto's return "triumphant"? It's not like she conquered anything or anyone.

As for the Middle East... As long as Islam, Christianity and Judaism exist, there will be no peace.

No. The best we can hope for is containment. I think the rest of the world should shun the Middle East, no trade, no travel, no dealings of any kind. Keep them isolated in their own misery and let them kill each other to their heart's content.
