If your computer has been hacked then changing your password will not help at all. Go offline, disconnect from the internet, then go to Start/Control Panel/Users and see if there is a new admin account there. If it is one you didn't create delete it. If you are on a one user system then the TRUE admin account can only be accessed through Safe Mode.

Next open you e-mail client and the address book. Copy all of your contacts to a plain text file. Send a bulk e-mail to your friend telling them to ignore subject e-mails from you. Then delete all of your contacts from your address book.

Go back on-line and download, install and run Sophos Anti-Rootkit and scan your system. http://www.sophos.com/products/free-tools/sophos-anti-rootkit.html

If it finds anything choose the option fix or delete it.

For future use you should install SpyBot Search and Destory and update and run it once a week. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

Info: If you have been hacked the first thing is to boot them off and change their target(i.e., removing your contacts from the address book) you must be off-line to do so. Virus scanners won't solve the problem and changing your password will never solve the problem. Once you are sure that they have released your system then place your contacts back into the address book. Also notify your ISP TONIGHT and report this.

You run a mail server on your computer? How do you know they hacked in? Just ignore the requests for money. If things get serious, speak to your local law enforcement agency.

Your account has no longer been hacked. you in basic terms gave away your password by skill of getting into your username and password on a pretend internet site, as an occasion a internet site offering a pretend provider including "see who has blocked you!". replace your password and secret question as quickly as conceivable and deliver all your contacts an apology on your mistake and advise them to no longer deliver any money.

You should still definately change you passwords and don't make them easy to figure out. Use symbols, capital and lowercase letters, numbers, and whatever else you can think of.

Report it to your net server, and change the password on your e-mail address.

report it to the police and tell your cousin not to delete the email she/he received from who ever was using your account as they will be able to trace it.
