food, water, oxygen, shelter, clothing. All the same necessities you would need on Earth. But in space, there's not such thing as going down to the river to catch a fish or shearing the sheep to get wool.

If I were going to space, I would need the biggest dictionary I could find. Lords know, I don't have the vocabulary to describe the unimaginable sights I will surely see.
I know you asked this in the "Music & Music Players" section but I just felt like giving this answer to my own interpretation of your question. But to make it more relevant, how about Webster's Third New International unabridged dictionary set to music (on probably 1,000+ compact discs)?

Personally plenty of coffee, books and Cd's as a starter. Food of course, batteries for CD player, and some form of exercise equipment. I've seen hundreds of films dealing with space and everyone always nearly kills themselves exercising! I don't have an ipod.

well you need a picture of you loved ones because you will be in space for a while and just good thoughts of what they will look like when you get home. and if you bored you can bring a deck or cards. wait neveer mind the whole no gravity thing. just bring something that will entertain you.

Probably an ipod. maybe a cellphone, although it wouldnt work. hahahaha
actually you would need a tank of oxygen, easily carried food (like freeze dried stuff they make for astronauts), a ship to keep you warm, and a gun to shoot yourself after you go crazy.

Air, food, water, earth, a bunch of clean, well-behaved chickens, a few different types of fish, lots of rum and Pepsi, and a totally sexy woman who also happens to have a brain, and is nuts about me. Although why she would be nuts about me if she had a brain, I don't know.

I stay off the two one among them, yet without my music i could no longer function. My iPod is loaded up with songs that no longer many others like, yet that shop me going popular! i might desire to recover from no longer texting human beings, yet i could no longer stay without my iPod; i like it. <3
