I was at work. When the plane hit, there is a tv at work that was turned on. Most of us were glued to it the rest of the morning.

No. I was working. And I listened to the initial broadcasts on the Voice of American and the BBC World Service as they took reports from "stringers" and other media services. When I got home I continued in following the events on TV and was greatly disappointed at the veiled references to Islamic terrorists and to the tragedy of the Branch Davidian cult at Waco Texas. It proved to me, once again, that our "mainstream media" folks never took a course in American history. If they had, they would have known that April 19th was the anniversary of the day when American militia fired the "shot heard round the world" at British troops to begin the American War For Independence. It is still a State Holiday in Massachusetts and is endeared by the beer belly commandos who make up the ranks of these nutjob militias today. They call it "Militia Day".
The TV coverage was a clear example of "breaking news" being "faking news" filled with hours of speculation based on groundless assumptions.
BTW, I lost someone I knew who worked in the Murah Federal Building.

I was living in Colorado at the time. I was outside and shoveling snow off our driveway when my husband came out and told me that there had been an explosion in Oklahoma City. He didn't know any details, though. It had just been announced on TV.

I was asleep, and a friend called me and said "Turn on the TV." I asked "what channel" and she replied "It doesn't matter."

I live in the OKC metro area, so I watched local coverage. Mostly I listened to the news radio station and muted the TV.

I was driving from Peterborough to Milford (in New Hampshire) to go to work. I heard it on my car radio.
When I got to work I started to tell the boss and another worker and they said "we heard that a couple hours ago". Bad news travels fast, thought I.
