It depends on what you mean by cheap. If your boyfriend is a frugal person and does not see the sense of wasting money on frivolous things, it does not make him bad. Now if you mean that he wont even buy paper towels then yes he is cheap and it more than likely will cause problems later on. You don't want to be with a person who will always question even the smallest of purchases.

Marriage will not change your boyfriend's behavior so if his cheapness bothers you then he's not the guy that you should marry.

It's hard to say because you didn't specify what kind of cheap behavior he is displaying, but chances are if anything he does is "cheap", yes, it will cause problems later on.

Why would he change after marriage - is he religious? The only way he'll change is if he decides he doesn't like whatever he he's doing anymore. If he doesn't care about you now, marriage won't change anything. Advice - delay the event, and watch what he does, not what he says. Also DO NOT HAVE KIDS to "save" the relationship. Kids deserve better. They also change everything, marriage doesn't. (57 year old father of two)

you consider his behavior cheap? well it isn't gonna change just because you get married, so if it's a problem for you now, it certainly will be if you get married.
