Cheap behavior while dating becomes cheaper behavior when married. This will cause problems in a marriage.

If it werent a possible problem you wouldnt have been concerned.
To many people are getting married for all the WRONG reasons,go with your gut if you feel or see red flags haul butt the other way & dont get into a life of misery. Or you'll just end up divorced like every body else running out getting married

It depends on what you mean by cheap. If your boyfriend is a frugal person and does not see the sense of wasting money on frivolous things, it does not make him bad. Now if you mean that he wont even buy paper towels then yes he is cheap and it more than likely will cause problems later on. You don't want to be with a person who will always question even the smallest of purchases.

Marriage will not change your boyfriend's behavior so if his cheapness bothers you then he's not the guy that you should marry.

It's hard to say because you didn't specify what kind of cheap behavior he is displaying, but chances are if anything he does is "cheap", yes, it will cause problems later on.

Why would he change after marriage - is he religious? The only way he'll change is if he decides he doesn't like whatever he he's doing anymore. If he doesn't care about you now, marriage won't change anything. Advice - delay the event, and watch what he does, not what he says. Also DO NOT HAVE KIDS to "save" the relationship. Kids deserve better. They also change everything, marriage doesn't. (57 year old father of two)

your boyfriend so called cheap behavior may be a blessing in disguise in that maybe he is not cheap but frugal thus keeping your married life out of debt.
Are you sure you are not high maintenance?

you consider his behavior cheap? well it isn't gonna change just because you get married, so if it's a problem for you now, it certainly will be if you get married.
