my xbox was diagnosed with the ring of death=[..so they are shipping me a box but do i leave on the hardrive?

They told me they are shipping me a box and i know to take off the faceplate and don't ship the power wires but do i leave on the hardrive located on the top of the xbox 360

Take the hard drive out. I just shipped mine out today. They told me to take it out before shipping
