People today are in such a hurry that they forget that speed limits are posted for a reason. Duh!!! I experience the same thing as you quite often but I'm not going to speed up just for them. Maybe they should leave earlier so they won't have to be so impatient when behind someone who is abiding by the laws. :)

The speed limit is the speed limit and no, it is not against the law to drive that speed. I hate people riding my bumper so if cars are stacked up behind me, I will find a safe place to pull over and let the speed demons race by. When you have cars piled up, there are a few things that can happen: road rage which is taken out on you or some other innocent driver, you can be shot at, or rammed with a car. Please pull over. You could be saving your life and the lives of others.

it is more than comendable that you obey the law.
However, don't be mis lead by those that are impatient.
And here is a good one for you if you live in the LA area, and you drive on there freeway system and you are running 10 mph over the speed limit and you are impeding the flow of traffic you will be ticketed.
In other words (Yes) you are technically speeding and are beaking the law. but if the flow of traffic is going 10 mph over the posted speed limit, and you are not keeping up or you are slowing the traffic progress you will get a ticket and or will be run off the road.
That is a fact.

I drive the speed limit too, and if aggressive drivers don't like it, then they can pass and get the ticket. I commend you for behaving because I've seen some really ugly accidents in my line of work, and I wish some of these aggressive drivers could see the photos! They'd think twice about speeding and driving like they're so much more important than everyone else on the road. You are a mature and sensible individual!

relies upon on the roadway and how sluggish you're going. On maximum substantial highways with velocity limits as much as 70 MPH they're published for minimum speeds of 40MPH. you would be ticketed for going slower and maybe get stopped for checking by making use of the PD for stable going between 40 and 50. they'll want to work out in case you're DWI or have a vehicle difficulty. it is likewise possible to be rear ended for useful by making use of a few clown doing 80. On interior sight streets in case you're going so sluggish as to be impeding site visitors you will be ticketed for doing that. you ought to reason an accident. that's a controversy of police judgment.

OH MY GOSH I KNOW!!!! Seriously people, 40 and 45 are not the same. If the speed limit is 40, and i am driving 40, do NOT drive 2 inches behind me. One of these days I might just slam on my breaks an GUESS WHO GETS A TICKET FOR THAT ACCIDENT? Yeah, you do! Pass me if you must, but really, you should be patient and quit being lawbreakers. You're all horrible drivers anyway. LOL so that was my rant of the day. Thanks for the opportunity. =)

It's not against the law. But, if you drive the speed limit and it's too slow for some people i'd go a tad faster. Becuase in some places people carry guns with them and i doubt they'll hesitate to shoot at your car..
Not good eh? =p

It is not against the law to go the speed limit and no faster, but there is a law against holding up traffic. Sometimes you just have to pull over and let the speed demons go by. There is always someone who want to go faster than the speed limit it seems and it is up to the Highway Patrol to catch them. It is not up to other drivers to make them slow down by impeding traffic.

This question is a bit opionaitated but, it is totalally legal to drive the speed limit. I personnely think in the state of Maine and most states they allow you to go 5 miles over the speed limits. I hope your talking miles and not kilometers or some Europe metro meter... Stuff...
